She’s the queen of country but do not expect her to be lining up at a cookout any time soon.
"But the star admits to sometimes cheating on the difficult-to-abide-by diet - which cuts out all animal products including eggs, diary and even honey. “
More like, difficult sentence to construct. EVEN HONEY??!?!?!?!?!?!
Stop media. Just stop.
I’ll take Carrie Underwood as a mostly vegan. I’ll take my friends and family as omnis.
I feel like when journalists, bloggers, people, say it’s difficult to be vegan, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy! Yeah, it’s not easy. Life isn’t easy. Making good choices and doing the right thing, not just diet, but everything, every day on this earth, being kind and sticking up for what you believe in, that’s never fucking easy. Living what you believe when the mainstream isn’t into it, it’s a challenge. And yet, all I’m yapping about here is a dietary/lifestyle choice.
I guess, I just want see more “she’s vegan, and that’s cool! Here are some of her tips at a cookout.” or “It can be hard to find protein rich snacks after a workout, but since Carrie is mostly-vegan, and this article is about how she stays slim and full and works out all the time, here are her go-to snacks”.
It’s not even this article I’m upset with. It’s just a summary from a UK tabloid blog. I want for veganism not to be made into this “it’s so hard, it’s so impossible, how do people do it?” kind of thing. It’s a lifestyle choice. Like going to a pilates class.
OH MY GAWD. HOW DO PEOPLE WAKE UP AND GO TO PILATES IN THE MORNING??? OR EVER?? Okay, that does blow my mind.
